As Sales Operations Manager NAM you are responsible for ensuring seamless execution of all order-related processes across North America and Canada. By managing a team of five based in Williston, Vermont, the role safeguards the accuracy of sales orders, ensures timely communication of the order and backorder book to key customers, and supports day-to-day operational efficiency. Acting as a central interface between Sales, Planning, Logistics, and Finance, the Team Lead ensures high-quality service delivery and supports the VP Operations in driving continuous improvement initiatives and system reliability.

Your responsibilities
Team Leadership & Daily Operations Lead, support, and develop a team of five Sales Operations and Warranty Specialists based in Williston, Vermont. Organize day-to-day workflows, set clear priorities, and resolve escalated operational issues. Maintain a service-focused team culture with high accountability, responsiveness, and clear communication. Sales Operations & Order Management Oversee accurate and efficient management of all sales and sample orders, including pre-orders and re-orders. Maintain consistent customer master data, order information, and pricing structures in close collaboration with the Sales Team. Ensure commercial terms (e.g. volume discounts, timed promotions, payment terms) are correctly implemented in the ERP system. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Agents, Reps) to ensure order execution meets customer expectations. Share the order book and backorder status weekly with key customers to maintain transparency and trust. Collaborate closely with Planning and the DC Team to align on shipping schedules and mitigate delays (OTIF). Returns & Warranty Management Oversee return processes and ensure timely coordination with distribution center, return coordinator, and finance. Ensure smooth handling of warranty cases in collaboration with the Warranty Manager, balancing service quality, cost and operational efficiency. Process Ownership & Strategic Projects Take ownership of core sales operations processes, ensuring they are efficient, clearly defined, and consistently followed. Drive improvements that enhance data accuracy, system hygiene, and operational reliability. Ensure all key processes and updates are well-documented and accessible for training and continuity.

Your profile
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Operations or equivalent, ideally in the outdoor or sporting goods industry. Demonstrated experience in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and service-oriented environment. Strong people leadership and communication skills in a service-oriented environment. Hands-on mentality with a structured and detail-oriented working style. Experience in the outdoor industry with an understanding of seasonal rhythms and customer expectations. Familiarity with customs, compliance, and international shipping practices is a plus. ERP experience required – ideally Microsoft D365 and the K3 ISV solution. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, nested formulas, conditional formatting, and data validation to manage complex order books and customer data. Power BI proficiency for creating interactive dashboards, tracking sales and backorder performance, and generating weekly reports shared with customers and internal stakeholders.
