SpotLIGHT of the job
You will join our team as a DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, governing, and scaling our next-generation developer experience platform. This role is critical in establishing a scalable, self-service foundation for software delivery, ensuring that our infrastructure is resilient, secure, and directly optimized for the velocity of AI-assisted engineering. Your goal is to design and maintain our internal developer platform (IDP) and hybrid cloud ecosystem, defining the strategy for how automated pipelines, agentic workflows, and predictive observability will be utilized to seamlessly accelerate software innovation.
Responsibilities
Support Developer Experience (DevEx): Track and continuously optimize performance metrics, including deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate and mean time to recovery (MTTR). Orchestrate Deployment Paths: Govern and parallelize delivery pipelines supporting both high-velocity, agent-driven Prompt-to-Deploy paths for preview environments and strict, audited Git-Push-to-Deploy paths for production safety. Design Platform Architecture: Build, scale, and maintain our cloud-native Platforms and infrastructure blueprints using an "Architecture-as-Product" mindset to minimize cognitive load for product developers. Implement FinOps & Smart Scaling: Apply Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and intelligent, predictive autoscaling policies to optimally schedule heavy payloads node pools, balancing runtime performance with cost efficiency. Ensure Shift-Left Governance: Embed automated security scanning, vulnerability discovery, secrets management, and compliance-as-code Directly into CI/CD pipelines to enforce organizational and regulatory defaults (e.g., GDPR, ISO) without slowing down deployment velocity. Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner deeply within cross-functional, sprint-based engineering squads (comprising developers, QA, and security) to design end-to-end delivery frameworks that drive measurable business outcomes. Drive Predictive Observability: Transition our monitoring from reactive alerting to proactive, AI Ops-driven anomaly detection and self-healing systems that intelligently isolate or remediate delivery risks before they impact production. Manage Enterprise Context: Curate reference architectures, standardized service templates, and Golden Paths to ensure AI code assistants generate accurate, production-ready manifests and configuration files. Mentor & Mitigate Behavioral Blindspots : Support development teams with continuous architectural guidance and actively manage against AI transformation side-effects like critical thinking shutdown or code-review drop-offs.
Skills & Experience
We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the requirements. Your motivation, potential, and adaptability matter more than perfection: A bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or demonstrated equivalent technical mastery. Experience in cloud engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), or developer platform creation. Proven experience leading automation initiatives involving continuous delivery, container orchestration, or complex cloud migrations. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go , with deep familiarity with L inux command-line diagnostics and networking fundamentals. Modern Platform Architecture: Skilled in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions (AWS or Azure), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Pulumi), and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/EKS/AKS). Experience configuring automated CI/CD pipeline frameworks using tools such as GitLab CI and ArgoCD. Hands-on knowledge of centralized logging, distributed tracing, and metric frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) Familiarity with secrets management platforms, security scanning utilities, and policy engines is a plus. An ability to look past tool sprawl, synthesize fragmented components into a seamless internal developer platform, and align technical optimization with business value. Strong team player who breaks down silos and can convey complex distributed systems concepts to diverse stakeholders, including senior management. You demonstrate exceptional adaptability and are energized by adopting emerging workflows and new technologies Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to lead resilience engineering and disaster recovery architectures that protect production environments.
